The James Webb Space Telescope, launched on Christmas Day 2021
and now located one million miles from Earth, is revolutionizing our understanding of the
universe. Its mission: To reveal the earliest moments of the universe, to study the
evolution of galaxies over time, to understand the lifecycles of stars, and to discover
other worlds and the possibility of life on them. Frank Petrie and Peter Moseley, board
members at the Battle Point Observatory, will describe the latest findings revealed by
some of the most spectacular images yet received from space.
