Bio:
Mette holds a BS in biology from Virginia Tech and a Ph.D in cell and molecular biology from Purdue University. She is a data scientist with experience in genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics and has held positions in industry, academia, and the federal government. Mette holds a deep passion for data sharing and collaborative research facilitated by making biomedical data accessible and usable. She has a strong knowledge of data management and sharing infrastructures, data privacy, and data governance policies.
